Carlos Balá
(born Carlos Salim Balaá on August 13, 1925 in Buenos Aires) was born in 1925
in the Chacarita neighborhood. His father, Mustafá Balaá (of Lebanese descent),
was a butcher, had a carnage installed definitely. Carlos what helped in
childhood. His mother was Juana Boglich (of Croatian descent).
Carlos
began working in the butcher of your father, he making teather with crates of
apples of trade in his father. In the beginning carried out monologues and
jokes to passengers of the line 39 bus, to acquire experience and overcome
shyness. In his youth was assistant his father, and from the 18 worked as
employee printing, dealer and administrator. His first work as an artist was in
radio in the program La revista dislocada.
With this program toured the interior of the country from 1955 to 1958. Other
programs that made in radio were Los tres…
(“The three…”), El show de Andy Russell
(“The show of Andy Russell”) and ¡Que plato! (“What a dish!”).
In
Television Carlos began working in the program “La Telekermese Musical” (“The
Telekermese Music”) and other programs as "El show de Antonio Prieto"
(“the show of Antonio Prieto”) and “El show de Paulette Christian" (the
show of Paulette Christian”). In film starred “Canuto Cañete conscripto del 7”
(“Canuto Cañete conscript 7”), “La muchachada de a bordo” (“The muchachada
board”), “El tío disparate” (“ Uncle noncense”) and other films very famous.
Currently
Carlos continues with the shows but less frecuently. This married to Marta who accompanying
today. They have two children, Martin and Laura Balá.
